Founded by several members of the Delaware County community, Delco Dills Pickleball Club in Wallingford, Pennsylvania seeks to be a community-forward organization in an area underserved in the pickleball space. Liz Gallard and Kathy Dolphin are two of the founding members of Delco Dills and currently serve as board members for the club. They were eager to share their experience as a pickleball club working with a fiscal sponsor toward their goal of making the game more accessible for players of all skill and athletic abilities. Gallard is quick to note that while other states, and even areas not too far away such as the Jersey Shore, are writhe with pickleball courts and amenities, the Delaware County area is severely lacking in local resources. Delco Dills is working to address this gap and are on a mission to “raise funds to build properly surfaced pickleball courts in our community,” according to their website.
The owners at Pala Pickleball, located just outside of Houston, are offering consultations to pickleball club owners from around the country as a means to help other clubs succeed and ultimately spread the sport of pickleball. Guillermo Ordorica, Lindsey Myers, and their wives Gaby and Kaitlyn are the owners of Pala Pickleball. While starting their club in 2022, multiple interested club owners came up to the folks at Pala Pickleball and asked for help with starting their own club. The owners at Pala saw the demand for pickleball club advice and decided to meet that need by offering consultations for a reasonable fee. Since then, they have helped several clubs around the country in places like Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Weymouth Club offers cardio pickleball clinics every week at their club in Weymouth, MA. Cardio pickleball is a fast-paced style of play involving constant movement, high repetition, and minimal coaching. Jacob Zapatka, the director of pickleball at Weymouth, says that cardio pickleball clinics are a great way for the club “to make money and keep players moving and happy.”

The Happy Trails Pickleball Club, located in Surprise, Arizona, is not only a largely successful club sporting over 500 members, but the club is also integral to the history of pickleball. In 2001, pickleball was introduced to the Arizona Senior Olympics for the first time, and Happy Trails got the honor of hosting the event which boasted over 100 participants. Now, this historical club contributes to the sport by hosting the annual Happy Trails Classic Pickleball Tournament. The Classic is played on 10 lighted, outdoor courts and invites players 50 and older between the 3.0 and 5.0 skill level to come play in possibly the most long-enduring tournament in the area. The tournament has been around for 18 years and has recently hosted over 400 participants.
